My first introduction to Patricia Monaghan has been a wonderful experience in the form of this book.  The author obviously has a deep and abiding respect for The Craft and bears a reverence for the Goddess that is both warm and loving.  As she gently points out interesting facts such as there being no evidence of a monotheistic Goddess religion (many die hard feminist Witches will be shocked by that one, albeit true).  Using such lovely sentiments as "we give birth to our death as we are born," Monaghan brings to us a lovely interpretation of the Goddess Path.  Her overviews of different goddesses are lively, vibrant and brilliantly written.  She also includes the valuable addition of Questions and Activities at the end of each chapter that would be beneficial and appropriate for either personal or group exploration. 

For any group or person exploring the Path of the Goddess, this book is a wonderful companion.
