I am now prepared to deem
this woman just absolutely precious. This is my third book to read
by her and I am again absolutely moved by the gentleness and
respectfulness she shows in discussing the Craft. The personal
accounts she includes are appropriate and contain within them the
feeling that one is sharing a very special and intimate story with the
author.
Her teaching is from a
very experiential perspective, which lends a familial taste to her
writing that I find particularly appealing. Her descriptions of
different Deity are simple and yet very complete and compelling.
Drum, voice and body are all mentioned by Hawke as tools for energy
raising and I deeply appreciated this little addressed subject finding
its way to her pages. The meditations she provides are lyrical and
lovely, as are her amazing Sabbat rituals.
This book is just...
lovely, as are her others. That's it. She's on my
"favorites" list.
