the similarity of names.

I had this confused with the Arthurian Tarot that is written by John and
Caitlin Matthews. The look like this:

I had these at some point and they got away
from me. The "through the window" pictures were original, I thought.
Now comes (not to be confused with "The
Arthurian Tarot") "Legend, the Arthurian Tarot:"

The labyrinth backs of the
cards of loving and intriguing. The artist, Anna-Marie Ferguson, has
produced detailed drawings in soft pastels that not only aptly reflect the
Arthurian stories and mysteries, but also pays tribute to the classic
interpretations of the standard Tarot deck.
The book is well written
and very navigationally friendly. The descriptions are thorough
without being overly verbose and the correlation between the scene
depicted and the interpretation given is deftly woven and gently
transitioned.
While I may have been
disappointed to not have re-encountered a deck I considered to be my old
friend, I am certainly pleased with the artwork, backs and book of this
lovely set.
I give it:
