This ambition tome definitely provides a wonderful (most recent) culmination of a very prolific and broad-spectrum writer who has filled our bookshelves for decades.

DJ Conway takes us on the ultimate guide through the various pantheons of Gods and Goddesses, from the common to the obscure.  Far from giving limited lore and facts about the Deities themselves, Conway dives further into explaining the political history and atmosphere at the time the mythologies were born and tracks the evolution of the aspects through a progression of time.

Divided into sections by country, each chapter includes a history, standard dress and ornamentation of the time, mythologies, a listing of major Gods and Goddesses of the pantheon (with detailed affiliations given), sacred animals and an extensive bibliography particular to that pantheon.

This book is an excellent reference tool for any coven or personal libary.
