I purchased this kit for my daughter and I have to say, it is truly the perfect beginner set, for the teen, young adult or any novice reader.  The book is well written, simple, easy to understand, yet concise and complete. 

The kit includes the Universal Tarot, a deck I have previously reviewed and utterly enjoyed.  Taking the basic premise of the classic Pamela Coleman Smith illustrations used on the Rider Waite deck, the Universal Tarot amps it up by providing lovely detail and amazing depth. 

What a lovely gift this kit would be, whether to a friend or to yourself.  It just doesn't get any better than this for a Tarot starting point.
