Good Goddess, I just love her.
This is my second "Old Girls" book, the first being "Old Girls' Book of
Dreams." Garrison never fails to make me smile, make me think and
make me want to hang out with her. Being an old girl easing into the
menopause process myself, I can fully appreciate (OK, drink in, wallow in,
cuddle up to) not only Garrison's affable style of writing, but also her
wonderful words of wisdom and companionship.
As the title implies, there are
spells in this book for everything, using basic items likely
already in everyone's home. The spells are for hundreds of very
practical goals and are easy to understand and put into practice.
Each individual chapter ("Relationship Spells," "Spells For Healing and
Soothing," etc.) has an introduction that is like slipping into a hot tub
with the Ya-Ya's, so friendly and casual is the writing style.
Did I mention I love her?
Thanks, Cal, for another great
book. Keep on writing, girlfriend. Come to my house and we'll
make "Mother of the Skye's Magnificent Margaritas." (page 176)
