I am completely overwhelmed.  It's not often that Italian Tarot maven Lo Scarabeo really moves me in a profound way.  More often than not, I find the mass production of soulless, undeveloped decks to be an insult to serious Tarot lovers everywhere. 

It's extremely rare these days that a Tarot deck shows any degree of innovation or original thought, much less from cookie cutter Tarot Pirate, Lo Scarabeo, but wow!  This is literally one of the most amazing decks I've ever seen in my life. 

Click on the pictures to see a sampling of the cards.  In this deck, artists Raul and Gianluca Cestaro take the classic Pamela Coleman Smith drawings from the Rider-Waite deck and reverse the scene so we are looking at the same pictures, but from the rear view!  The artwork is vibrant and beautifully rendered, giving a 3-D, fully rounded effect.  The nuances added from the 4th wall perspective lends a whole new dimension to old friends.

This is a deck I don't simply appreciate for the quality of the artwork and considerable thought put into their application.  It is one of the very few decks I will actually employ as a "working deck." 

Get it.  Love it.  Use it.
