Just as she and Tom Little deeply explored the court cards of the Tarot in Understanding the Tarot Court, Mary K. Greer again delves into a common stumbling block of Tarot readers, the issue of reversals. 

Ms Greer provides very detailed interpretations of each of the reversed 78 Tarot cards, as those of the upright cards.  Prior to the interpretations, a very thorough discussion of the use of reversals, as well as themes specific to reversals is given and at the end of the book, a wonderful  list of correspondences and key words.  Sample readings are also provided, giving good insight as to how Greer does her own readings.

Unlike Understanding the Tarot Court, which I recommended more as a next step for the advanced reader, this book I would recommend to the novice as well as the experienced reader.  Ms Greer opens up a door to the complex and seldom explored subject of reversals and gives it a life of its own.
