Since its debut in 1990, I
have considered this precious book by Amber K to be a hallmark in Pagan
writing. Magnificent in its simplicity, True Magic aptly
covers all of the bases and delivers a near-perfect handbook for Pagans of
any denomination. Carefully not geared solely to Wiccans, the
book embraces the commonalities of magickal people, breaking down the
human-imposed barriers (that we swear do not exist) and drawing together a
community of practitioners in praise of Earth's magick.
No Pagan library is
complete without at least one copy of this book. It should be on the
required reading list for all first level practitioners, as well as a
necessary re-read for mages who get too big for their britches.
Simply Marvelous.
