Oh my. I cooed. I
caressed it. I sighed a bit. This book is *sigh* just
pure bliss on paper. Filled with vibrant, colorful photographs and
candid, delightful interviews with modern leaders of Witchcraft and Wicca,
this book, quite frankly, made me proud to be Craft.
Having personally met many of the
authors featured in the interviews, I felt Griffyn did a wonderful job of
capturing their inner spark and the true essence of their magical and
wonderfully divine personalities. Through words and pictures, the
author takes us on a colorful and informative tour of The Craft, teaching
by showing us many delicious places and faces of our rich and soulful
spiritual path.
Griffyn also manages to gently
introduce the evolution of Craft in such a way as to not offend the
traditionalists, honoring the past while fully embracing the future into
which we are emerging. It is such a gift for many newcomers to put a
face to a name of so many of the voices we have long admired in our
magical literary experience, making them more "real" to us and
illustrating that wisdom in inherent in all of us.
I fully recommend this book to
all who wish to explore the glorious color, spirituality and experience
of being a Witch.
I wish I had more stars to give
it.
