Unlike the Egyptian Sacred Scarabs Oracle, the Witching Stones are a highly usable and worthy venture.  I have only just begun to explore it's versatility as a divining oracle, but it's ease of use and application, as well as its incorporation of familiar symbols gives it a sense of family as soon as one encounters it. 

My favorite way for using the stones is to mix the stones within the bag, reach in and grab a few, then toss them haphazardly onto the reading surface, divining the ones that show face up.  It feels very Witchy and so far, my readings done this way have been quite accurate. 

One thing I have noticed is that their reach is almost immediate.  The interpretation manifests within a day or so, rather than providing the far reach of the Tarot or I Ching.  This gives a sense of power to the readings that is quite enjoyable.

Madigan and Richards have scored a hit in their effort to create a "new" system of divination.
