Yule: A Celebration of Light and
Warmth
by: Dorothy
Morrison

Llewellyn has definitely
surpassed their own standard of Pagan literary excellence with their
series of "Sabbat" books. Yule by Dorothy Morrison represents
the third of these books I have read (Candlemas by Amber K and
Arynn K was number four and that review follows) and I have not yet been
disappointed. I could not have previously imagined how someone could find
so much to say about one holiday, but each of the talent writers in this
series has succeeded in producing an informative and enjoyable exploration
of the holiday at hand.
Yule is no
exception. The warmth and intimacy of the holiday is deftly captured
by Morrison as she skillfully navigates the tenuous history surrounding
this precious time. Including an appropriately extensive recipe
section (of course!), as well as games, party ideas, gift ideas and
decorations, this book will bring the magic of the season front and center
regardless of the time of year it's read.
Morrison's easy writing style
is a joy to experience (making me look forward to reviewing more of her
work) and the choice of authors for this particular book could not be
better.
